Providence Plantation Charlotte NC – Lifestyle
The lifestyle is wonderful in Providence Plantation. I know, because I live here! There are so many ways to get involved in the neighborhood and meet new people. My family joined the Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club when we moved to the neighborhood in 1998, and it was a great way to make new friends and enjoy tennis and swimming. There are lots of social groups to join: book clubs, bridge clubs, couple’s supper clubs, ladies’ bunco group, men’s poker nights, playgroups and more. There’s lots to do outside of Providence Plantation, too! Get your shopping fix at nearby Arboretum Shopping Center, Southpark Mall, Stonecrest Shopping Center, or Blakeney Shopping Center. Enjoy fine or casual dining at restaurants and cafes that are anywhere from 5 minutes to just 15 minutes away. Get in a good workout at the Siskey Family YMCA, just 5 minutes from Providence Plantation. Sign your kids up for sports leagues at the Matthews Athletic Recreation Association (MARA). Take in a round of golf at any of the nearby golf courses!
Commuting from Providence Plantation is easy. Uptown Charlotte is just 30-40 minutes away from the neighborhood, depending on the traffic. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is about 35-40 minutes away. Providence Plantation enjoys easy access to major commuter routes such as I-485 and Providence Road.
